Bulldog cagers fall in two more losses
Friday January 18th the Townsend Boys Basketball Team played host to Manhattan. Manhattan started the game out very strong and maintained the lead to end the first half with 24 points to Townsend’s 7 points. In the second half the Dogs came back and put on a battle, especially in the fourth quarter where they outscored Manhattan 25 points to 12. By that point it was too late and the Dogs ending up taking a loss to Manhattan with a score of Bulldogs 43 and Manhattan 51.

On Saturday the Townsend Boys Basketball Team traveled to Big Timber only too face another loss. Big Timber shot out in front in the first quarter and kept the enthusiasm up the entire game to beat the Townsend Bulldogs 73 to 46.

Townsend girls varsity splits weekend
On Friday January 18th The Towsend Lady Bulldogs hosted Manhattan. In the first quarter Manhattan jumped out to take the lead over the Lady Dogs but their lead was not going to last long. By half time of the game the score was tied with a score for both teams of 19. In the second half Manhattan led the third quarter by 2 but the Lady Dogs bounced back to take the lead in the fourth giving them the victory over Manhattan.

The Townsend Lady Bulldogs traveled to Big Timber on Saturday January 19th, 2008. Big Timber jumped out to take an amazing lead in the first half leaving the score for half at 40-15 Big Timber. The Lady Bulldogs came out in full force for the second half of the game outscoring Big Timber in both the third and fourth quarters unfortunately not enough was gained in the last half of the battle to take home the victory. Final score was Big Timber 65 and Townsend 48.
