Varsity girls beat Boulder, Whitehall

The Townsend Girls headed to Boulder Friday February 8th to take on the Panthers. The Lady Dogs took an early lead after scoring a dominating 24 points in the 2nd quarter. The score going into half time was 34 to 12, Bulldogs. Boulder came on strong in the 4th outscoring the Bulldogs 9 to 19. The Lady Dogs stood their ground and were able to hang on for the win, Townsend 53, Boulder 40.

The Townsend Girls Basketball team hosted Whitehall Saturday February 9th in a shootout. The Lady Dogs came out fired up in the first quarter out scoring the Trojans 16 to 8. At halftime the Dogs were up 26 to 19. The second half the Trojans came out of the locker room fired up, in the third quarter alone they outscored the Lady Dogs 17 to 8. Continuing the rally in the fourth making up another 3 points. The Ladys managed to weather the second half and squeak by Whitehall, scor Townsend 47, Whitehall 46.

B-Ball Districts this weekend
The Townsend varsity basketball teams will travel to Fort Benton this weekend to compete in the District Tournament.
The boys will start off against the Boulder Panthers at 3 p.m. on Friday. If they win they will play again at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and if they lose they will play at 4:30 on Saturday.
The girls open against Fort Benton at 4:30 on Friday. If they win, they will then play at 6 p.m. on Saturday and if they lose they will play at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
