Ray and Marion Freedland will be hosting their 9th Annual St. Patrick’s day party at Ray’s Horse Shoe Cafe. This Year promises to be as exciting as past years as the Freelands have several treats in store for all who help them celebrate.Ida and Oppie Smith Drove to Townsend Thursday for a visit with Phyllis Vogl and to pick up Ida’s glasses.Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Etzwiler have just returned from a twelve day vacation. They visited relatives and friends in Missoula, Spokane, Seattle and Portland Oregon. |

Pat Delger, a junior in Broadwater County High School, fell through the ceiling in the gym on Monday afternoon and suffered painful injuries but is quite fortunate that they are not too serious.Pat had gone up in the attic in the gym to pull up the basketball goal, preparatory to getting the room ready for a special program, he accidentally stepped off of the catwalk, falling through the ceiling to the floor, some 20 feet below. Pat was taken to the Broadwater Hospital revealing a fractured wrist as well as some painful bruises.Helen Herrington , Junior in Broadwater County High School, was the winner of a contest which will give her a three week trip to the United Nations. Miss. Herrington is the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Wayne Herrington of Winston. |

Crosby of Warden, Wash. who have been working the old Hard Cash Mine between Duck and Garnett Creeks all winter, have discovered what they consider to be a very favorable lead and have returned to their homes this week for a short time preparatory to bringing in the necessary mining equipment.Mrs. Maria Brisbin is recovering from a severe attack of the Flu. |

Whether she intends to go back to the stage, has some other matrimonial alliance planned or is desirous of retiring to private life remains to be seen. |
