The commercial Bar on the corner of Broadway and Front Street was burglarized some time early Wednesday morning propably after 4 a.m. Bar owner Phyllis Diehl reported the break in after coming to work at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Ken Romo and Shane attended the Globetrotters Basketball game Wednesday evening in Helena.
Twelve teams squared off over the weekend and participated in the annual Invitational Basketball tournament at the BCHS gym. Teams entered in the contest were Commercial Bar, Flynns, Manhattan, Mint bar, Wilson Utilities, Three Forks, Helena Americans, Highwood Bar, Plains, State Bank, T-OK-E Pizza, Roy Independents. Many teams boasted of college players from round the state and exciting action was seen in all the games.

Mr. and Mrs. Art Roberts and children of Townsend were Wednesday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs.O.J. Allen.
Georegie Lots has errected a new sign at the Townsend Drug for his RCA Line.
According to a release from the office of Senator James Murray(D) Montana, Miss Judi Doggett, is reigning today as Montana’s Cherry Blossom Princess at the annual Cherry Blossom Festival held in Washington D.C. Miss Doggett is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dogget of Townsend.

Judge and Mrs. A.J. Horsky accompanied by Miss Luella Watson motored down from Helena Monday, the Mudge being occupied with court matters while the ladies called on friends.
 Frances Bowen and Lucillle Chaney of Radersburg were visiting here one day last week.
One sure sign of spring was evident this week by the larg number of plow shears in the shop of Charles Shaw who is applying his usual skill and Machinery in sharpening them for early plowing.
100 Years
It was reported that Mr. Benham was enjoying the mumps last week. On Tuesday of this week D. Gilham was in attendance upon Mr. Benham for other troubles. We hope he may be about soon.
A report is to some extent circulated that Thelma Brown has or has been exposed to scarlet fever. I wish to assert that it is wholly a mistake, that the child has not been exposed and has been in perfect health continually since her return from Linvingston.
Mrs. W.D. McCormick, accompainied by her son, A.M. McCormick departed for Lawron, Oklahoma Saturday night at midnight. They left in hast in responce to a telegram which bore the information that Mrs.Smith, Mrs. McComick’s mother was very ill.
