Ronald Reid Thompson

Ronald Reid Thompson passed away April 09, 2008, at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
He was born May 1, 1958 to Agnes and Ralph Thompson in Townsend, where he lived his entire life and attended school. After graduating from high school he attended the Adult Learning Center in Helena.
Ron worked at Bob’s Supermarket in Townsend for nearly 20 years. He was so proud to be “The Number One Box Boy!”
He was an avid sports fan with many favorite teams. Ron bowled, golfed, and had a great interest in music, learning to play the piano at an early age. He loved Rock-n-Roll!
Ron had the honor of being a torch bearer in Townsend for the Montana Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics. He was a member of the LDS Church and a past member of the Jaycees.
Survivors include his mother, Agnes; sisters, Kay (Ed) Ivory, Irene (Wes) Henthorne; brothers, Jim (Peggy), Bob (Marcia), Gene (Kathy), Dave (Dawn), and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Ralph, sister, Beverly Royall, and nephew Josh Thompson.
Cremation has taken place. Services will be held Saturday, April 19, 2008, at 2:00 pm. in the LDS Church in Townsend. A private family interment will follow at the Deep Creek Cemetery.

Miles Daniel Griffith

Miles Daniel Griffith, 53, of Great Falls, a Navy veteran and homebuilder, died of brain cancer Sunday at Peace Hospice.
Memorial services are planned at a later date. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Griffith of Great Falls; daughter Somer (Chet) Williams of Helena; son Shaun Miles Griffith of Chester; daughter Kady Griffith of Great Falls; parents Gene and Jayne Griffith of Loganville, Ga.; and sisters Greta (Kenny) Romain of Chester and Jeri (Marlo) Gackle of Loganville.
He was preceded in death by a niece, Kendra Romain; and a nephew, Jesse Romain. . Miles was born July 21, 1954, in Great Falls. He grew up and attended schools in Alaska, Maine, California, Utah and Windham before graduating from high school in Miles City - the result of being an Air Force brat.
He married Susan Jeffery in 1975, and later married his current wife, Jo Ann Cobban, in 1985.
Miles served in the U.S. Navy for six years before entering the Naval Reserve, then later the Army Reserve and then the Army National Guard.
He managed Little Big Man Pizza; worked at Sears in Lewistown; worked at the Eagles Lodge in Lewistown; managed Willow Oak Farm in Madison, Ga., for 14 years, and most recently served as project manager for various home builders in Georgia, finally returning to Great Falls in January 2008.
Miles served as a scoutmaster for Troop 91 in Madison, Ga., and enjoyed volunteering in the local school systems and churches. He also was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, hunting, fishing and whitewater rafting. He was a fan of NASCAR, the NFL and the Atlanta Braves.
Miles was the son in law of Robert and Linda Cobban of Winston.

Karen Webb

Karen Webb, age 61 years, Plattsmouth, Neb., died April 10, 2008 in Omaha, Neb.
Preceded in death by parents, Fred and Martha Nielson, and father-in-law, Earl Webb.
Survived by husband, James G. Webb of Plattsmouth; children: Jeff Webb and wife Jill of Overland Park, Kans., Kim Heck and husband George of Rochester, N.Y., Mike Webb of Omaha; grandchildren; Julia and Sam Heck, Dylan and Lauren Webb; mother-in-law, Pauline Webb of Townsend.
Services to be announced at a later date. Interment will be in Radersburg. Memorials are suggested to Thanksgiving Lutheran Church in Bellevue, Neb., or Hospice House in Omaha, Neb.
