Bob Ginrich was Easter dinner guest at the home of Terry and Laura McArdle. On Saturday evening the McArdle’s attended the wedding reception of Mike and Cathy Millay. |

Local boys who participated in the boxing matches in Bozeman Saturday night were Paul Campeau, Frank Slifka and Terry Plummer. Mr. A.A. Campeau, Tony and Marleen were also there.
George Flynn has been very buisy in actually classifying the lands immediately south of Townsend. |

City election holds little interest with about only thirty votes cast.
Thirty six years of service is recorded for the Townsend Star. The much discussed and apparently opposed consolidation of the Toston district high school and the Broadwater county high school is at last a reality and unless some unforseen opposition sets in, the two schools will be running under one head next September - that of the county high school, situated in the county seat. |

Mr. and Mrs Fratt of Helena are guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Berg. Mr. Pratt is resident engineer of the Canyon Ferry Dam Project.
There were 129 votes registered for the city election Monday. Mrs. D. D. McCarthey and her sons Gene and Adair, who had been in Southern California for several weeks returned home Sunday evening. Mr. W. A. Miller, of Crow Creek was in Townsend the fore part of the week on business. Mrs. Berryman who has been at Hunter’s Hot Spriings for the past couple of weeks is expected home. Mrs. Berryman was quite sick while there, but is now much improved. |
