| Carrie Myers and Jordan Audet ran circles around the competition at the 6B District track meet last Saturday May 10th. Carrie Myers medaled first in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and Jordan Audet followed up Carries Triple with a hat trick of her own, knocking off the 800m, 1600m and 3200m sweeping all six of the running events. The Lady Dogs went on to finish the running events with a first place in the 4x100 relay and second place in the 4x400 as well with the team of Carrie Myers, Delaware Hansen, Kelsey Wickens and Lynsie Williams. The girls took second overall at the meet with a combined score of 165. Carrie Myers and Jordan Audet both received most outstanding athlete for District. Girls Placing/Stats: 100m - Carrie Myers 1st 13.17, Kelsey Wickens 3rd13,92, Lynsie Williams 6th 14.22; 200m - Carrie Myers 1st 27.54, Kelsey Wickens 3rd 28.66; 400m - Carrie Myers 1st 1:00.90, Kelsey Wickens 1:05.35; 800m Jordan Audet 1st 2:32.90; 1600m Jordan Audet 5:35.05; 3200m Jordan Audet 1st 12:22.51;100m Hurdles - 6th Melissa Hansen 20.08; 300m Hurdles - Melissa Hansen 5th 58.15, 6th Cobban; 4x100 relay - 1st 52.09; 4x400 relay - 2nd 4:19.81; High Jump - Delaware Hansen 5’; Long Jump - Alyssa Dinsdale 3rd 14’8”, Lynsie Williams 4th 14’7.5”, Kati Anderson 13’1.5”; Triple Jump - 1st Lynsie Williams 33’, Alyssa Dinsdale 3rd 14’8”, Delaware Hansen 31’9”, Shot Put - 2nd Becky Hunsacker 31’ 9”, Stephanie Hansen 6th 28’1”; Discus Becky Hunsacker 3rd 100’10”, Stephanie Hansen 5th 82’8”; Javelin Stephanie Hansen 2nd 112’11”, Becky Hunsacker 5th 90’8”. The Bulldog boys placed 4th in the meet overall. Jager Warner out distanced his opponents grabbing first place in the 1600m as well as the 3200m. Strong arming the competition was Kyland Santos in the throwing events medaling in all three throwing events. Boys Placing/Stats: 100m - Cody Harris 6th 12.74, 200m - Cody Harris 2nd 24.42, 400m - Cody Harris 52.92; Tommy Garrard 55.18, 800m - Ben Robertson 3rd 20:08, 1600m - Jager Warner 1st 4:54, 3200m - Jager Warner 1st 10:39.59, 110m Hurdles - Emmett Cavilier 4th 19.34; Boone Helm 5th 19.43, 300m Hurdles - Cody Harris 1st 44.73, 4x100 relay 4th, 4x400 2nd 3:41.03, Shot Put - Kyland Santos 1st 45’9”, Discus Kyland Santos 2nd 138’6”, Javelin - Kyland Santos 2nd 151’3”. Coach Rauh had the following comments for the meet; “It was nice to start the post season. I felt we competed well. Jager had a nice meet and were looking for great times out of him this week. “Becky and Stephanie really stepped up in the throwing events, if they continue that this week they will be on their way to state. We are looking forward to the challenge of the Divisional meet and expect to perform at a high level.” |

BHS Tennis Team tops Divisionalsby James Green The Townsend Star This past Weekend the Broadwater Bulldog tennis team won the Southeast Divisional Tennis Tournament for the second year in a row. Team scores were Townsend 55, Boulder 33, and Whitehall 21. Qualifiers for the Bulldogs included Gaelyn Domino, Kyndra Thompson, Townsend; 4, Kelsey Cronan, Whitehall; 5, Michele Schahczenski, Whitehall. |
