The Lady Dogs placed second overall at the Class B State golf Tournament with a score of 757. The tournament was held on the 13th and 14th of May in Bozeman.
Emily Watson rolled up two very nice rounds with an 86 and a 93 with a combined score of 179 she was able to take second overall. Jane’a Ehlke tied for 7th with an 95 and 91 and a combined score of 186. Alexa Audet had a nice first round of 90 but 101 in the second round, though reasonable scoring was only enough to tie her for 11th overall. Leigh West shot 101-103 for a combined score of 204 and Collette Chorney shot a 106 and a 100 for a combined score of 206.
Coach Robischon’s had the following words of encouragement “It was a great tournament both individually and as a team. I know the girls were somewhat disappointed by not taking first as a team, but I think they are starting to realize what level of accomplishment it was to beat so many schools. Each week they got better as a team and closed the gap on returning state champions until it wasn’t even officially decided until the last few minutes of the final day of the tournament. This team has placed in the top four at the state tournament the last three years including a state championship and a second place trophy. As individuals, this year we also for the first time in school history had three girls in the same season earn all state recognition (Emily Watson, Jane’a Ehlke and Alexa Audet) It has been a great ride for the seniors (Emily Watson, Alexa Audet and Collette Chorney).
Now these seniors turn over the reigns to the younger players who hopefully will want to continue the tradition of being a major factor at the state tournament. Juniors Leigh West and Jane’a Ehlke now have two years of state tournament experience, and I believe they will do a fine job of stepping up to become leaders during the off season and into next spring and it is what it will take to make a return trip to state next year possible.”

Delaware jumped very well in the high jump. She had the big jump and was extremely consistant throughout the competition.
Ben ran outstanding in the 800 he relaxed on the backstretch while still competing , this allowed him to shed three seconds off his time.
Carrie once again proved how great of a competitor she is in the 400, she would not let the Stensas get away from her and beat her with speed in the end.
We plan on having another great week of preparation, which should lead to a great state meet.” -Coach Travis Rauh

Considering we will graduate five players from the varsity teams this spring, we will need many of these players to step up next year to the varsity level. Who will play on varsity next season likely will be determined by which players decide they want to work their games this summer. The door is wide open for those that want to make the step to next years varsity team; it is now just a matter of who will put in some time this summer.”
