Elite Professional Bullriders, Inc. are
coming to Townsend

The Broadwater Rodeo Association is again sponsoring the Annual Townsend Bullriding. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, June 21st.
This year the bull riding is sanctioned by the Elite Professional Bullriders, Inc. Some of the best bull riders in the northwest will be here vying for $4,000+ in added purse.
The Elite Professional Bullriders, Inc have nearly every sanctioned bull riding in the state of Montana. Any locals who want to enter must call their central entry, Sara Hofer, by June 9th from 8 am to 10 pm - 406.672.0029. There will be no entries taken here at Townsend. You must also have a EPB card to enter.
Dick Lyman,is bringing his very best bulls from his Jacobs Livestock & Rodeo stock.
The top 10 bullriders will be calcutted off at intermission.
Between the long go and short go there will be the annual “ Dog Race”. This is for anyone who has a speedy dog. Reba, last years Champion, is in training for this years competition. Peggy Thompson will be taking these entries at end of the bleacher stand just before the event.
The canines are lined up in the center of the arena with a handler, while the owner is at the other end. A whistle is blown, and the handlers unleash the dogs. The canines race to their owners. Entry fee is $1 per dog to be paid at the race. This is a really fun event and a real crowd pleaser.
Pre-sale tickets will go on sale shortly, at the Commercial Bar and Rocky Mountain Supply. Pre-sale ends on Friday, June 20th at 5:00 p.m. Tickets can be bought at the Fairgrounds the night of the bullriding. . Advanced prices are $12.00 for adults (18 & over) $14.00 at the gate, Student/Seniors are $8 (Students ) (Seniors (62 & over) $10.00 at the gate, under 5 years old Free (when accompanied by an adult).
The concessions will be catered by the Gail Watson.
Don’t forget the sign-up for Broadwater Western Days will be on MONDAY, June 23rd instead of a Sunday this year, from 6 to 9 pm at the rodeo office at the Fairgrounds.
