Fred L. Bristow Sr.

Fred L. Bristow Sr. passed away on April 13, 2008, from complications from a fall. He was 80 years young, as he was fond of saying.
He went to Prescott in 1933 with his family from Montana at age 6. His wife of 57 years, Virginia, and his three children; Fred Bristow Jr. and his wife Vicki; Dale Bristow, and Alice Meyer and her husband Mike, survive him.
Fred had 10 grandchildren: Josh Bristow and his wife Jess, Wayne Bristow, Jessica Halliburton and husband Bo, Cassidy Bristow, Kyle, Kelsey, Maggie and Isaac Meyer; and four great grandchildren: Caleb Bristow, Baylee, Teeghan and Dane Halliburton.
Fred served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. Fred loved to play Santa Claus for local children and charities for 20- plus years. Fred enjoyed traveling and camping, and his passion was fishing during the many summers he spent in Montana. He was much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arizona Pioneer Home and Northern Arizona Vision and Hearing Center.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St.
